Hey there! We know privacy is important to you, and it's important to us too. That's why we want to be completely transparent about how we handle your personal information on our website, The Gig Community.

Let's start with who's in charge?  Well The Gig Community is an entity of  Taxes Are Sexy, LLC, a California corporation, which sounds like something, but it's just the two of us, Josh and Dean as the owners.  However, we're the data controller for any personal data you share with us through our website. If you need to get in touch, here's how: new business address

Your Rights Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have some pretty cool rights when it comes to your personal data. Just to make sure you're in the loop, here's a rundown:

  • Correction: If anything's not quite right, let us know and we'll fix it.

  • Deletion: If you want us to delete your personal data, just say the word.

  • Restrictions: If you want us to slow down on processing your personal data, we're happy to oblige.

Using our app, you're agreeing to let us handle your information as outlined in this policy. Keep in mind, our apps may have links to other websites and their privacy policies apply to those sites, not ours.

The Gig Community app gives you options to screen and log anonymous reviews for yourself and other app and Community members to view and add additional information about these numbers/usernames and or email addresses. You have to opt-in to use the app and can disable it at any time.  For the complete list of codes of conduct in the user generated reviews, click here.

Our website logs may contain information such as your IP address, however, we take steps to ensure that no personal data is stored in these logs.

We're collecting your personal information for a few different reasons, but don't worry - we've got it under control. And we’re definitely not collecting it with the anonymous reviews. So, here's the deal:

  • Marketing: We might use your personal information to let you know about stuff you might be interested in.

  • Quality and Safety: We want to make sure everything's working right, so we might use your personal information to keep things running smoothly.

  • Verification: We want to make sure we're working with the right people, so we might use your personal information to confirm who you are.

  • Protecting our Rights: We'll use your personal information to make sure we're protected.

And here's a heads up: we might store your personal information outside of your home country. But don't worry, we'll get rid of it when we don't need it anymore (unless we have to keep it for legal reasons).
