Commitment to sustainability and accessibility for us are crucial for any business. From the events that we produce, the people we work with from including everything from vendors, partners, and third parties,  we are constantly vetting those organizations, companies and individuals that we align ourselves to make sure they share our values of  accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability with a focus on reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring everyone can participate while supporting the LGBTQ community.

On our website, we consider the diverse needs and backgrounds of our audience, building content as clear, concise, and accessible as possible. This includes:

• Making sure our content easy to read and understand.

• Using headings and subheadings to organize our content and make it easier to navigate.

• Using short paragraphs and bullet points to break up large blocks of text.

• Using descriptive links and alternative text for images. 

• Writing in an active voice to keep our content engaging and interesting.

• Using a legible font and color scheme that is easy to read.

• Including people with disabilities, people who speak different languages, and people from different cultures

At our events, we continue to prioritize sustainability by:

• Choosing event venues that are eco-friendly and sustainable, with features such as renewable energy sources, green roofs, and low-flow water systems.

• Minimizing waste by using biodegradable or reusable materials whenever possible. We also make an effort to recycle or compost any materials that cannot be reused.

• Encouraging sustainable transportation options, such as public transit, cycling, or carpooling. We also offer bicycle parking and charging stations for electric vehicles.

• Partnering with local food vendors and caterers who prioritize sustainability and use locally sourced ingredients.

 

In addition to our sustainability efforts, we also strive to make our events as accessible as possible by:

• Providing accessible seating, parking and restrooms for attendees with disabilities.

• Ensuring a clear path of travel from accessible entrances through the event space.

• Offering ASL interpretation or captioning services for any presentations or talks.

• Designating a person responsible for ensuring accessibility of the event.

• Familiarizing the individual responsible for accessibility with the emergency plan for inclement weather and evacuation from the building/space to ensure accessible exits.

• Assisting presenters in providing clear, effective, and inclusive communication. 

• Providing audio descriptions, sign language and captions for any visual elements of the event.

• Plan and execute inclusive activities and menu options.

• Creating printed materials in large fonts, a focus on icons.

In addition to our sustainability efforts, we are committed to being socially responsible and supporting the LGBTQ community by:

• Ensuring that our events are welcoming and inclusive for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

• Providing gender-neutral restrooms and ensuring that our event staff are trained on appropriate pronoun usage.

• Including LGBTQ representation and voices in our programming and content.

• Partnering with LGBTQ organizations and businesses to support their work and initiatives.
