Grief and Growth, Honoring Brandon Dean

I know it's been a few months since my last post, and I feel it's important to share why. In recent months, I’ve experienced an unimaginable loss. My business and life partner, Brandon Dean Wolfe, passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. Losing Brandon has been the most difficult challenge in my life.

Brandon was more than just a brilliant mind; he was an extraordinary human being who brought warmth, compassion, and a unique perspective to everything he touched. His sense of humor was unmatched—he had the incredible ability to find laughter in even the most difficult situations. Whether it was a spontaneous joke, a clever remark, or a well-timed reference, his wit was unparalleled, and his presence always brightened any room, no matter how heavy the day.

Brandon was a fighter—and his strength made those around him feel genuinely safe. He was incredibly loyal you knew he would stand by it no matter the challenge. He lived life fully, always pushing boundaries, rejecting the status quo and encouraging others to do the same. His passion for advocating for the gig community and helping others succeed was contagious, and it was his enthusiasm, loyalty, and drive that made him not only an extraordinary partner but also a deeply inspiring friend and confidant.

During these past few months, I’ve taken time to pause, reflect, and lay him to rest. This break was necessary for healing, but now, I’m slowly finding my way back to work and life.

I’m excited to share that as I begin to pick up the pieces, we’re also ramping up our work on the Gig Community with an AI-focused website to better serve your gig worker needs.

Until then, I’d like to impart a few things Brandon taught me about what truly matters:

  • Tell your loved ones that you love them. Take the time to create memories with the people who light up your life.

  • Don’t waste precious moments on fights or misunderstandings; instead, appreciate the people around you for who they are.

  • Slow down and cherish every connection.

  • And be kind—to yourself and to one another. In the end, it is the love we share, the time we give, and the memories we build that define our lives and make every moment… every struggle, worth it.

Thank you, Brandon, for the love, the laughter, and the joy you brought into my life and the lives of so many others. Your legacy lives on in every lesson continue to teach, every smile you still inspire and every heart you touch. You are so missed and loved.
